as many in programming area knw im relatively quite new to web design. I was pondering on how on earth google make lots of money by providing us the service of searching every website available through their searching techniques.
Is there a way for money to be made?
a question arises about advertising. if somebody wanted to have a section on my website, what wud i quote them?
any websites or thread u cud refer me to?

This purly depends on the traffic coming to you site. Most people will still prefer to make us of google as it is better than any other ad sites.
