How to Be Great in 2008 - Part 1

A while back a colleague of mine and I went to a conference in Atlanta, Georgia here in the US. There were two people who were going to be there that I really wanted to meet and catch up with so I was pretty excited.

While there, I met some other great people and in particular a previous coaching client of mine named Josh. He asked for some of my time and I agreed.

Josh was really excited about the process he had just learnt at the event. (He has big goals.) so I asked him how he was getting on and what he wanted to get out of our conversations.

Josh said he wanted to "get rich".

I asked him what he meant by "rich", and Josh said he wanted to "...make a million dollars". I replied to him by asking, "What would
you do if you had a million dollars right now?"

Josh thought for a second and said "I'd go fishing!"

To which I replied, "Josh, you don't need a million dollars to go fishing."

Josh does a lot of fishing these days. And he's moved from to Hawaii.

Moral of the story? Get clear this year about what are you really seeking then being happy and able to attain your goals becomes a lot easier

What would you do if you were able to do if you had a million dollars and do you really need a million dollars to do it?
